MAP – Modulnova Art Project is a cultural project that celebrates creativity and beauty through the encounter of art, architecture and design in a perspective of exchange and sharing. For the first edition of the project, Modulnova has chosen to explore the universe of art photography, an expressive form capable of interpreting contemporaneity through the gaze (and the lens) of those who manage to capture and crystallize in time an image, a place, an emotion.

Art excites, inspires, stimulates reflection.

Never as in this historical and cultural moment that lives of contaminations, Art and Design merge, feeding each other in a continuous evolution. It is in this dialogue between expressive forms the essence of MAP, which thus becomes a ground for experimentation and encounter, the search for new perspectives and the transmission of values.

“The PhotoPastel series,” Claudio Composti explains, “emancipates itself from the simple photographic nature of the initial shot, precisely because of the hand-painted intervention with which Patrizia reinterprets reality and transforms it into an authentic mental image.

Those places become his idealized projection of the architectures that have marked Italian history and represent its tradition of craftsmanship and aesthetics.” Patrizia Mussa

Between
imagination
and reality

“I use photography to observe, to reflect, to unveil,” Patrizia Mussa comments, “photography is at bottom a kind of reminder, of notes, of thoughts, of reflections of one’s own time that can be re-read in deferred ways and times. In the chaos of life I find a tormented peace in the solitude of places, of unfrequented landscapes. The images I collect are the witnesses of that suspension, with them I express the desire for a silent longing for proximity.” Patrizia Mussa
